Major Service on an Atlas Copco GA75 Compressor

As part of a routine major service on an Atlas Copco GA75 compressor, this 75kW motor was treated to a wash and stove treatment due to oil contamination. Normally oil is not an issue inside a motor winding as oil is an insulator, however the bearing had deteriorated contaminating the oil with very fine metal fragments which is a potential disaster.
