Field Service Engineer - Compressed Air Systems

Air Kraft Ltd is expanding, and we’re looking for skilled and motivated Field Service Engineers to join our expert team. If you’re passionate about problem-solving, thrive on variety, and want to be part of a company where your work truly matters - we want to hear from you.
 
As a Field Service Engineer, you'll play a key role in supporting our customers’ compressed air systems, including Nitrogen generators and some process cooling equipment - from installation to ongoing maintenance - ensuring reliability and performance. Our customers range from small businesses to large enterprises, primarily across the Midlands but occasionally across the UK.
 
This is more than just a hands-on role. You'll be a technical ambassador for Air Kraft, representing our core values of customer service, integrity, professionalism, and teamwork in every interaction. You’ll also work closely with our Service Manager and Sales team to improve service quality and identify new opportunities.
 
What You’ll Be Doing
- Installing, servicing, and maintaining compressed air systems across a variety of sites.
- Acting as the trusted go-to expert for our customers, offering advice and technical solutions.
- Maintaining detailed and accurate service reports and documentation.
- Collaborating with the Service Manager to identify improvements in service delivery.
- Supporting the Sales team by spotting potential new business opportunities on-site.
- Ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety protocols and customer procedures.
- Proactively sharing technical knowledge and best practices with the wider team.
- Keeping your work organised, clean, and aiming for first-time fix resolutions.
 
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking experienced engineers who are either:
- Skilled in compressed air systems and perhaps nitrogen generators, or
- Multi-skilled maintenance engineers with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding experience.
 
You’ll need to bring:
- An engineering qualification (e.g., City & Guilds or NVQ).
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Confidence working independently and taking initiative.
- Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical faults.
- Familiarity with star/delta motor starters and use of multimeters.
- A professional, accountable attitude with attention to detail in reporting.
- PC literacy for equipment software interactions.
- A flexible approach to working hours and occasional travel across the UK.
- Full UK driving licence.
Bonus skills (nice to have, but not essential):
-  F-Gas certification
- 17th Edition or other electrical qualification
